So it is now officially "tax season" which is when I was told "it would get crazy. Like, you can't imagone how crazy".
It is not crazy.
Though, apparently there's been some sort of a bottleneck, which means I'm going to go to sending out 5-10 returns a day to 7000 a day or something. It's so hard just sitting around twiddling my thumbs while everyone else is staying late and constantly busy.
Also I have a temp to help out through the season and wow. Well. She's very nice? And sounds very professional when she answers the phone. And keeps asking me the same questions. Again and again and again.
And again.
So I also need it to get busy so I can give her lots of things to do so she'll stop talking to me. I do not, apparently, do well with small talk for periods of time longer than to engage a client, and she keeps. talking.
A couple of the girls in the office are "Don't worry! We'll help you when you get all the returns!" and they just don't seem to understand that I'm not worried that they won't help me. I just want WORK to do. I mean, getting paid to write fic is great, but I feel a little guilty. And, I mean, I'm all for 7000 returns. I'd just like to get them more spread out than it seems like they're going to be.
Tomorrow night I'm seeing Andrea Gibson who is AMAZING. This will be my third time seenig them, and I'm very excited.
Also can someone explain to me how the fuck it's the end of February? Because that's not even close to right.
